Easy Buttery Biscuits 

 Who doesn’t love soft buttery buscuits for a dinner side item?! In our home we make these at least once a week. What I love is that my 3 year old toddler can help me make this easy biscuit recipe in less than 40 mins! There’s only a few things you’ll need that may already be in your pantry.


  Ingredients

  • 2  cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 8 tablespoons Butter, cubed
  • 3/4 cup Milk, (more or less if needed)
  • 1/2 cup Melted Butter

Directions
Preheat oven to 425*F

  1. In a Large Bowl mix: flour, sugar, baking powder and salt
  2. Cut butter into cubes and add into mixture in Large Bowl
  3. Mix until it looks like cornmeal
  4. Slowly add milk and begin to knead dough
  5. Roll out dough onto a floured surface
  6. Cut with a biscuit or cookie cutter
  7. Butter the bottom of a skillet or baking dish & place biscuits in pan
  8. Bake for 12-15 mins or until golden brown
  9. Optional: lightly apply melted butter on biscuits every 3 mins for buttery flavor

   

As you can see, Sonny, my 3 year old basically made the biscuits with my guidance. He truly loves to help in the kitchen and cook up some delicious homemade recipes. You may also make a large batch and freeze the dough to make your next batch a quick bake and go. Let me know what you think!
